Walking Tracks

Indoor Track

Those that are interested in using the indoor track will be required to complete the One-Time User Agreement.

Those that plan to use the track will be required to complete an ICHAT background check prior to use. Background check forms can be picked up in the main office OR you can complete it digitally within the user agreement above. Checks may take up to 48 hours to be processed. Please leave your email address with the form so we can contact you once this has been completed. Background checks are valid July 1 - June 30.

The track is available from 8:45 - 9:45 AM and from 6:00 - 7:00 PM daily Monday through Friday.

 

The track will be closed on days that school has been cancelled and during athletic contests.

 

 

Accessing the Track 

During School Hours: To gain access to the track during school hours, please buzz into the main office on the North side of the school. There you will sign-in and be given a walking track pass. The pass must be worn and visible at all times. Once you have completed your walk, you must sign-out at the main office, leave your pass and exit out the front doors of the building.

Outside of School Hours: To gain access to the track outside of school hours, please enter through the doors on the Northwest side of the school. These are the ones used to gain entrance for athletic contests.  If you are unsure of this access point, office staff can help you to know where it is located.


Sign-In Upon Your Arrival

During School Hours: You must sign-in inside the main office. 

Outside of School Hours: You must sign-in on the clipboard hanging just inside the HS gym as you walk in on the right nearest the stairwell.

Please note that the walking track availability is subject to change.

All participants should wear indoor shoes only.

All participants agree to pick up all trash and belongings.

As a user of our facility, we hope that you are able to take advantage of our walking tracks to improve your physical fitness and personal health. We ask that you please note and observe the following rules and enjoy the facilities.


INDOOR Facility Users

  • Due to academic schedules, athletic contests, and/or team training purposes, use of the walking track will be limited to hours that will be posted on the website.
  • If a school team or group of students arrive under the supervision of a coach or other staff member, please wrap up your workout and leave. The track should not be used simultaneously with other athletic practices or events.
  • Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or supervising adult and must remain with that person at all times. The elevator is not a play thing and should only be used when necessary.
  • When the bleachers are in their folded-up, stored position they cannot be climbed and sat upon. Doing so will cause structural damage.
  • Please be aware of where the exits are located in case of an emergency.
  • In case of an emergency, a phone is located on the wall across from the elevator on the main floor.
  • Two small changing rooms are located on the balcony level (west end near the elevator). Lockers are available for use but no locks will be provided. These areas will improve as the project progresses.
  • Shoes that will be worn during your workout must be carried into the facility (dirt, sand, salt, etc. may cause damage).
  • Smoking, the use of tobacco products of any kind or vapes, and all alcoholic beverages are prohibited anywhere on school property.
  • Do not leave coats, boots, or other additional clothing on the floor. Please use the changing room/locker room areas on the balcony level for these items.
  • Individuals are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that will not detract from the enjoyment of others in the building. School administration has the right to suspend facility use privileges.
  • Before beginning any exercise program, you should first consult your doctor or an exercise professional. Participation is at your own risk.
  • Walking approximately one foot from the railing, it will take you just over 13.5 laps to equal one mile.
  • Enjoy your visit and please don't forget to check out when you leave.

 

OUTDOOR Facility Users

  • Please remember that you are on school grounds when using the outdoor track.
  • Smoking, the use of tobacco products of any kind or vapes, and all alcoholic beverages are prohibited anywhere on school property.
  • Please wear an appropriate shirt and other apparel when working out on the outdoor track.
  • If a school team or group of students arrive under the supervision of a coach or other staff member, please wrap up your workout and leave. The track should not be used simultaneously with other athletic practices or events.
