BELLAIRE PUBLIC SCHOOLS 
SNOW REMOVAL OUTLINE 
OCTOBER 1, 2024 - MAY 1, 2025 

Area will encompass both the Elementary and the MS/HS facilities. Work shall be completed before 6:00 am. When needed there shall be a clean up of the student and bus pick-up areas to be completed prior to school dismissal no later than 2:30 pm. 
1. Bellaire Middle/High School 
a. Parking areas and roads around the building. 
b. Area around trash dumpsters. 
c. Excess snow shall be removed and hauled away when needed to the field west of the facility. 
2. John R. Rodger Elementary School 
a. Parking areas and roads around the facility. 
b. Bus parking area. 
c. Football field storage buildings entrances. 
d. Areas around the dumpster. 
e. Excess snow shall be removed and hauled away when needed to the parking area west of the facility. 
3. General Comments 
a. If school closes for any reason, it is the school's responsibility to contact the contractor. 
b. There may be a need to plow specific areas at specific times due to extracurricular activities, athletic events, etc. (may include weekends and evening events). Contractor will be provided with a weekly school calendar. 
c. Snow plowing is needed on some school closure days, snow days and some holidays due to the Preschool being in session and school staffing at both facilities. 
d. Sanding/salting, and additional removal of snow banks when necessary. e. During snowfall days, Bellaire Public School staff will be responsible for keeping the fire exits clear of snow. 
f. Spring clean up will include sweeping/vacuuming all drives and parking  areas. 
g. All equipment to be used must be listed on your bid document. 
h. Persons submitting bids will be required to provide the school with a certificate for Workman's Compensation and Liability Insurance and a tax I.D. number. They will be required to walk the District's facilities with the person designated by the Superintendent to ensure that all areas are included in the bid specifications. 
i. Please clearly mark your sealed bid in an envelope marked "Snow 
Plowing & Removal Bid", and submit it to the Superintendent's office no later than 2:30 pm September 5, 2024. Bids will be opened at 4:00 pm September 5, 2024. The bid will be approved at the Regular Board meeting, date September 16 2024.
