2025 Bond Information
No tax rate increase from the current levy

About the Bond

The bond consideration is to allow for continued assurance of safety, security and the upgrading of District facilities and grounds. Fencing to provide a secure playground area, external security cameras, and updated HVAC units highlight the needs of the bond.

School Bond Proposal Language

Shall Bellaire Public School District, Antrim County, Michigan, borrow the sum of not to exceed Two Million  Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,500,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds therefor for the purpose of: remodeling, equipping and re-equipping school buildings, including a secure entry at the elementary school and other security improvements, and developing and improving sites?

What does it cost me?

Since this bond question would keep the tax rate the same as the current levy, this is a “NO MILL” increase from the current levy. The tax rate would remain the same.

Why are we asking this now?

We have an opportunity to keep our facilities great without raising the tax rate. These funds can be raised to provide for needed safety and student benefit without raising the tax rate. This is a zero mill increase. The current rate is 1.85 mills, and this proposal would keep it at 1.85 mills.
